UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS
Join us at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, May 11th where we will recognize our students and graduates! If your child (or you!) is graduating from 3rd Grade, high school/university, please let us know so that we can include you/them in our celebrations that morning. Join the 30 Plus or Minus group for our final event of the program year! We will gather at Where House Bar (located inside the Metro Eats Farmers Market and Food Truck Park) on May 16th from 5:30-8pm. Join us before we say “see you later” for the summer months!
Join us in the Parish Hall after the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, May 18th for Third Sunday Brunch that includes some cake, hugs, and a whole lot of gratitude! This brunch will be in honor of our organist, Catherine Thapa, as we wish her farewell. If you would like to bring a brunch dish to share please contact Kathy Sheppard at kathysheppard1950@gmail.com. Catherine, thank you—for the music, the teamwork, the early mornings, and the countless ways you’ve enriched this community.
Please join us on Thursday, May 29th at 5:30 p.m. for Rite II Holy Eucharist as we celebrate one of the major feast days in our liturgical calendar year. This day marks the ascension of Christ into heaven. We hope to see you there!

The Daughters of the King (DOK) has scheduled an informal question and answer session for women who would like to seek information about the DOK on Sunday, June 1st. We will be available in the parish hall after the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. services. We welcome all to come by and ask questions about the Order’s purpose, philosophy, and meaning in our lives.
Sally Baird has graciously invited the women of the church to a light supper at her home (located 2928 S Natural Bridge Dr, Springfield) on Wednesday, June 4 from 5-7 p.m. Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board across from the office. We look forward to spending time together!
Christ Church will host Waves of Gratitude—a 2 day Vacation Bible School Program created by United Thank Offering. This will take place on Thursday, July 10 and Friday, July 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Children ages 4-5th grade are invited to join us for an ocean-themed program focused on gratitude through a biblical lens. We will have water activities, crafts, music, movement, STEAM projects, and we hope to wrap up Friday with a field trip!
